How long does it take to make slushies or soft serve?
Thanks to its 360° Cycle Rapid Cooling Technology, the F01 prepares perfect slushies and soft serve ice cream in 15 to 45 minutes, depending on your recipe's starting temperature and sugar/alcohol content.
Why is my slushie not freezing or taking too long to freeze?
The most common cause is an incorrect sugar or alcohol ratio.
- Sugar Content: Liquid mixes require a sugar level (Brix) between 12% and 15%. Zero-sugar drinks or pure water will turn into hard ice and jam the machine.
- Alcohol Level: If making frozen margaritas or cocktails, keep the alcohol by volume (ABV) under 10% to 12%. High alcohol concentrations prevent freezing.
Can I make soft serve ice cream or frozen yogurt using regular milk?
For the best creamy texture, use whole milk, heavy cream, or pre-made ice cream mix with adequate fat and sugar. Skim milk or low-fat alternatives have high water content, which may result in icy crystals rather than smooth soft serve.
